Mosaic House is a 15-bed home where adolescents stay a minimum of four months.  During this time, adolescents work on clinical, academic and daily living goals.  Mosaic House is staffed at a ratio of one staff for every ten residents.

The Mosaic House experience includes:

  • Weekly individual or family therapy
  • Weekly individual and parent coaching
  • Mentoring of daily living skills and executive functioning skills
  • A choice of academic options designed to meet each resident’s unique academic needs
  • Activities tailored to adolescents’ vocational and personal interests

Mosaic House is a nurturing, home-like environment that provides adolescent girls 14 – 18 years of age with opportunities to practice life skills while refining their executive functioning through real world application.  Mosaic House staff use a DBT coaching model to assist our adolescent girls toward self-sufficiency and early adulthood.

I do it.   We do it.  You do it.  Mosaic House staff mentor adolescents through the process of integrating new skills by first demonstrating, then collaborating and finally coaching the adolescents to use the new skill themselves.

Privileges based on Performance – Residents are gradually given more privileges as they prove that they can handle privileges appropriately.

Boundaries and Consequences  – It is understood that adolescents flourish with consistent boundaries and limits. At Mosaic House, families will learn how to engage in this process to better cultivate success.  Parents are a part of the process of establishing boundaries and applying consequences.

It’s going to get messy – and we will handle it together!  Mosaic House works with parents to create a co-parenting team to help the adolescent and the parents navigate through predictable regressions in behavior that occur through the process of generalizing skills to a new environment.

Trust   •   Honesty   •   Effectiveness   •   Maturity   •   Energy

An adolescent’s progress at Mosaic House is based on the qualities of THEME during their stay with us. Adolescents are an active part of a monthly treatment team meeting where their progress, including evaluations of their growth, are discussed and measured together.
